Driver San Francisco is a action adventure racing video game developed by Ubisoft Reflections and published by Ubisoft . The game formly was revealed at E3 2010 and was released in Australia September 1 , 2011 in Europe on September 2 , 2011 and in North America on September 6 , 2011 for Playstation 3 , Microsoft Windows , Xbox 360 and the Windows version was released on September 27 , 2011 . Driver San Francisco IGN rating is 8.0 which means great and its absolutely great game . A new feature is Shift , which allows the Tanner to shift from one car to another and can continue the mission . One of the inspiration comes from the Google Earth . The game also being known as "the return to the old roots" to the series as the ability to get out of the car , which was introduced in Driver 2 , it has been removed and shift mode has been added to teleport to the other cars , as the developers felt that to many games have a gameplay like this so its not not desirable for us to do the same thing . With Shift , the players can also start missions . With the use of Shift , all cars will be equipped with a boost feature , requiring the players to push up on the left thumbstick to use it . The players when press L1 on Playstation 3 or on Xbox 360 the left shoulder button to perform a ram attacks on the other cars . Its a very good game .
