Among the Sleep is a first person survival horror video game developed by Krillbite Studios for Microsoft Windows , OS X , Playstation 4 and Linux . Among The Sleep was released on 29 May 2014 in North America and Europe . The Story begins with a two year old toddler having his birth day celebrations at home with his mother . The celebrations were interrupted by someone knocking at the front door , and the mother answer it , uneasily . The callers identity is kept hidden from the player , but the story suggest that he is the players father , with whom the mother has broken up . The Conversation is muffled to the player and partly kept from the player the mother raises here voice , refusing the fathers request to see the player . The mothers angry tone frightens the player , and the player fears appears as a blurred vision . Quickly the mothers returns with a gift . It is suggested that it is from the father . That's it .
